Traditional working sheep farm near Falmouth at the base of the Lizard. Established in 1946 the site now has five static caravans added and is ideally suited for family holidays.
Calamankey is conveniently sited for exploring the Helford River and the Lizard Peninsular with many family attractions nearby such as Flambards Theme Park, Eden Project, Falmouth National Maritime Museum, Seal Sanctuary and Poldark Mine. A local shop(open 7am - 8pm) and public house are 20yds from the drive entrance and a large Asda supermarket is just 1.5 miles away. The site is ideal for outdoor pursuits being within five miles of golf courses, boat & fishing tackle hire centres, tennis courts, scuba diving centres, riding stables, sailing & swimming facilities and a number of sandy beaches and coves. When possible visits to meet the Llamas are arranged for all guests staying on the farm.
The campsite is set in a large two acre gently sloping meadow overlooking open countryside with views across rolling hills to the Fal estuary, St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsular beyond.
It is licensed for 45 tents and 15 motor caravans/ campervans. There are six main’s water standpipes conveniently situated around the field and below, beside the farm house, are seven Ladies’ and six Men’s toilets along with wash basins & showers. Dogs are allowed on site but must be kept under control at all times
