site gives details of one of the fastest growing sports in cornwall, that of gig rowing, crews of 6 rowers plus a coxswain train and race in these 32' long traditionally built boats in all kinds of sea and weather conditions throughout the year, strength and fitness are essential in this physically demanding sport enjoyed by both men and women where all clubs enjoy friendly relationships - that is until the start of a race when there is fierce rivalry to beat all other opposition to the marker buoys and ultimately to the finish line!
