What a surprise to get wonderful food just yards from the beach. The haddock is the one to go for - with mushy peas of course. Good range of puddings. Service is very friendly.

Surely the worst Fish and chips ever. I am serious. It was greasy, not crispy, white in colour. The frying time or temperature must have been wrong. They gave me all sorts of excuses.
-“ It had been wrapped”:
Well… is that not the origin of fish and chip? My wife didn’t take more than 5 minutes to go from the restaurant to the beach. I have had crispy and hot fish and chips after spending nearly ½ hour in paper.
-“ Its because of our special batter recipe, it doesn’t stay crisps once its been wrapped.”
Well same as above and if you mean that the type of batter used was a “Tempura” well let me tell you that if I wanted a tempura I would go to a Japanese restaurant!
- “Its a scientific fact, it goes soggy."
Well here’s a culinary fact: Crispy, golden beer batter. Try it!
And much more excuses.
Their attitude was so wrong.
It’s wasn’t so much for the £13.80 for the 2 child portions and 2 adult’s ones but more for the fact that they ruined the end of our last day of our holiday for my wife and our 3 children.
A Frenchman, who unlike Mr Chirac, thinks that good, local and well cooked British food is fantastic but not not on this occasion.
