Construction of Brunel's Royal Albert rail bridge across the River Tamar between Plymouth and Saltash.
The bridge was built between 1857 and 1859 with this photo taken around the halfway mark. Its designer, the renowned engineer Isambard Kingdom Brunel died a year later.
