This rock is known as the St Levan stone and has the following rhyme associated with it: When with panniers astride, A Pack Horse can ride, Through St Levan’s Stone, The world will be done. It is said that St Levan would sit on the rock to rest after fishing. One day whilst praying he hit the rock with his staff and split it. He then made the prophecy above.
