This was taken on a perfect summer's morning just as the pool was getting ready to open. A few months later the seafront was battered by a series of huge storms with the pool suffering extensive damage. Over a year, and £3 million later the pool has been fixed and refurbished and is open for business again.
The Jubilee Pool opened in 1935 with the name referring to the Silver Jubilee of George V.
