Zennor Quoit Capstone SW469380

Looking towards the mighty capstone of Zennor Quoit.

Until 1861 the capstone rested on top of the upright stones. However, a local farmer decided the stone from the quoit would be ideal for building a cow shed and he removed some of the uprights resulting in its collapse.

Had it not been for the vicar paying him off the whole quoit may have suffered the same fate
