Winter swell - big wave at Whipsiderry

The storms of February 2002 brought with them some dramatic, if not so ridable, swells. Shot from Porth Island between Newquay and Watergate Bay, here you see a wave explode as it hammers into the cliff at high tide, dwarfing the buildings behind.
