Chapel Street - Penzance

Chapel Street - Penzance
Description: The view towards the lower end of Chapel Street encompassing the rectory and church of St Mary's and the Branwell family house.
Maria Branwell was the mother of Charlotte, Anne, Emily and Branwell Bronte. Built in the 1780's the house is unusual for the area as it is ade of brick - at the time this reflected a relatively high social standing compared with granite.
