However, at this time the project is apparently suspended pending an investigation

The Coliseum was rather out of proportion but it hosted many famous Pop and Rock gigs in the late 20th Century....Fee Waybill and the Tubes, Ian Dury and the Blockheads, Paul Young, Eurythmics, Kool and The Gang, Kid Creole and the Coconuts, Debbie Harry/Blondie, The Christians, The Pogues, A-Ha,.....WOMAD festival took place on the beach and in the Coliseum...starring Van Morrison, Georgie fame, Howard Jones....
The beach apparently is composed of washings from the China Clay processing locally and it may erode away with the decline of the industry
