It's not hard to see where these rocks got their name from. The Carns of Castella certainly resemble a fortress and have the right aspect overlooking the sea and Western Rocks.
This whole area on St Agnes in the Isles of Scilly is referred to as Castella Down and there are plenty of other examples of fantastic rock formations here.
