Cadgwith

Situated just around the corner from the Lizard Point is the archetypal Cornish fishing village of Cadgwith. With a fishing heritage going back to the heyday of pilchard fishing you'd think they might have built a proper harbour! It seems the shingle beach suffices and bigger boats are simply winched up the beach. Originally by the capstan but now-a-days more commonly by 4x4. As with much of this coast the water here is crystal clear making it a great spot for diving. Photo: jschwa1
