View across the river Fowey to the village of Bodinnick. This is where a ferry has run across to Fowey since the 13th century.

Bodinnick features in the life of Daphne du Maurier too. She lived in the large house right on the riverside ('Ferryside') for many years and penned some of her best known novels here. Ferryside is still owned by the family.

In the centre of the picture is The Old Ferry Inn - an 18th century building which clings to the steep hill down to the ferry.
