Fantastic Eden project
review by: Liz,
21st 2008f April 2008

We visited Eden for the second time this April and felt moved by this beautiful ,respectful place. Such a lot to learn - you can't take in everything, but if each person takes away one "seed" from Eden in terms of an idea to try out, it will have been worth it.
We felt the entrance fee very good value, and great to become members for the year.
We didn't skate but thought this was a good idea. Wonderful to see Eden as a venue for the big summer concerts - what a stunning setting.
We were impressed by the colour spectrum of "Bulbmania" and the interesting living exhibits and local plants in the "outside Biome", reminding us of how fortunate we are to live in such a blessed climate here in the Uk (most of the time anyway!)
The Warm Temparate Biome was also fascinating (enjoyed trying out some close-up photography of some of the gorgeous flowers and fruits. Like the way artwork is integrated.
We had a tasy lunch in the Jo'sreataurant in "The Core" .
Admired this architectural marvel, especially its "Fibinachi series "(can't spell it) roof anf sparkly sunlight streaming down through mirrors and solar panels. Lots to learn, liked the giant nutcracker!
The highlight was the Rainforest Biome. So convincing, you could have been in the Amazon, or far East... Best of all, whilst we are reminded of the cruel mismanagement of the world's resources, the overall impression we are left with from Eden is one of optimism - we can do something about it.
I now feel even more fuelled to do what I can to help our Earth -Thank you Eden.

Eden Project review

Looking down onto the Eden project it look fascinating and exciting. It is quite breathtaking too.

Once you get to the domes and inside it become quite dull. I am extremely interested in nature and was really looking forward to it but as it is a large group of plants there's only so many you can look at.

Its OK but just not interesting enough. If you're a botanist then I'm sure it will be fine!

The Eden Project - Boring!
review by: Chris

As a sceintific project or architectural wonder there is little to fault the Eden Project. It is truly quite stunning when you first look down into the old quarry to see the vast biomes looking like the city of the future. However, it doesn't get much better!

Having a scientific background and being extremely interested in all things wildlife and nature I would have thought myself the ideal visitor. Unfortunately once you have seen one bush, shrub you've seen them all. Even with my attention span I found it hard to spend much time loitering in the biomes.

The temperate biome is slightly more interesting than the humid. There are some interesting fruit plants and interactive displays.

At the end of the day, the whole point of Eden is the biomes, if they cannot hold my attention I feel they will have their work cut out to entertain the average kid (or adult even). So with this in mind what does one do at Eden? Well you might as well go to any other tourist attraction in Cornwall as you will be spending more time in the shop and cafe than in the biomes, which kind of defeats the object!
