Tunnels Through Time
Tunnels Through Time in Newquay brings Cornwall's colourful history to life and is an attraction not to be missed. It offers a great indoor attraction for the family. The tunnels present a splendid mix of fact and fiction, offering a wonderful array of colourful characters from the county’s romantic and turbulent past. These include King Arthur and Merlin, as well as pirates, smugglers and cave dwellers. There is also the enchanting tale of Morvenna, a beautiful mermaid with the gift of granting wishes.
The realistic and well-crafted displays include dungeon scenes. These are separate from the main area so families with very young children can avoid them if they wish to do so. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome at quiet times and still photography is permitted.
Tunnels Through Time is situated on St Michael's Road in Newquay. It is open between Easter and October, but closed on Saturdays apart from during school holidays.

Tunnels Through Time
Review by: Danny Davies on 2008-05-30 23:33:16Show review details »I went there in June 2007, I found all the stories and legends fascinating, all the model art work was excellent, pirates, fairies, Giants, wizards, ghouls, ghosts and goblins. Some of the scenes can be quite disturbing for young children so if your child is screamish like mine avoid the dungeon level. Watch out for the giant too hes huge. well worth a visit.
