The Parish church of St Pol de Leon is set high up on a ridge overlooking Mount's Bay, the tower was built early in the 15th Century and is one of the tallest in Cornwall. Much of the church was rebuilt following the Spanish raid of 1595 in which most of Mousehole and Paul, including the church, was burnt down. Nowadays Paul Church is light, airy and spacious and we hope you will be able to visit us in person some time and perhaps be able to share something of the presence of God which those who have worshipped here over many centuries have felt, and still do today.
