The Mineral Tramways Discovery Centre is an ideal place in which to find out about the old mineral tramway routes between Hayle, Portreath and Devoran. Visitors can explore the industrial heritage of Cornwall along trails and footpaths. Well defined trails may be followed on foot, on bicycle or even on horseback. The Great Flat Lode is one of the best examples of a conserved mining landscape in the world.
The remains of the mines served by the mineral trails can also be seen, such as King Edward Mine in Troon. Inside the centre, visitors can find out all about the old mineral tramways, the mines, the ports used by the industry and the people involved with the trade. The centre is located at Pool near Camborne.
