British Cycling Museum
The British Cycling Museum has more than four hundred examples of different cycles in addition to an old cycle repair workshop, with tools from long ago. There is an extensive library of books here and such interesting articles as the first cycle oil lamp. As well as lots of old medals and cycling memorabilia, there are window displays of gas, candle, battery and oil lighting. A gallery contains framed cycling pictures, ceramic cycling items and models of cycles. The museum documents cycling history since 1881.
The museum is housed in an old Victorian railway station and has been open since 1992. It is open from Sunday to Thursday each week throughout the year and is situated a mile north of Camelford on the Boscastle road.

What a sad loss to the country if this is the case, particularly when the description above is read. Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. Hopefully they're in a large shed somewhere on these isles waiting to be rediscovered and displayed again.British Cycling Museum

The museum was packed with bikes and cycling paraphernalia and had many obscure models amongst its collection. I spent several hours there and had a long chat with one of the owners. I have just discovered that the museum is now closed and the entire contents sold, allegedly abroad.
A sad loss indeed.British Cycling Museum

The Tourist Office told me (28th Sept 09) that it had been closed for 2 months and that they had received no indication as to when it would be open again.
