Well, I've never been made more welcome in a B&B / Hotel.
Great Breakfast to start the day and what a great view to gaze at, whilst lounging around in the evening before retiring to a very clean kept beadroom.
Thoroghly enjoyed my stay and I highly recommend this hotel as a great base when visiting this wonderful part of the UK.

In total contrast to the previous review my wife and I found this hotel friendly and welcoming. We stayed 2 nights at the start of August in a comfortable well presented en-suite room for £70 per night per room including breakfast. Breakfast was plentiful and within reason you could choose what you wanted cooked exactly how you liked it.
I would certainly recommend this friendly and comfortable hotel

Please don't listen to the above review - totally unrepresentitive..
We have just returned from what was a fantastic weekend away at the Bay Hotel (3/4/5 august 2006). Arriving late at midnight, the hotel couldn't have been more accommodating and an Honesty Bar allowed us to have a relaxing drink before falling into what was a very comfy bed. The rooms, most with seaview, are clean and bright, and very much in keeping with the traditions of Port Issac, with great sea views. Also lot of great fun to be had with the jacuzzi bath in room 5.
The breakfast is one of the best; cereal, toast, fruit and a cooked breakfast were all laid on, and usually meant we didn't have to eat again until dinner time! The hotel is situated a picturesque 5 minute walk from the main locale of Port Issac and allowed us to have a leisurely stroll before and after dinner. There is also a big car park which is vital in port isaac as cars are not that easy to park in the town. Anyway in summary I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel or indeed go for a return visit.

I love travelling in England and I always appreciate the English hospitality. However, I wish to give you an account of a bad experience I had in the Cornwall. My wife and I had an internet booking for three nights at the Bay Hotel in Port Isaac. I found this hotel on your site. It was in middle march (low season). After the first night, we decided to leave : the Manager, Mister Burns, was unpleasant and the hotel was unfriendly. We were the only guests.
Mister Burns charged 3 nights (222 £) I first refused to pay that much for one night. After one hour discussing, I finally accept to pay 2 nights (148 £) because he was threatening me. I strongly advise visitors not to go to this awful hotel.
