Hostel Damelza is an old guest house with one of the best locations in St Ives, home to some of the best beaches in the UK. Being run by two students over the summer, Hostel Damelza is a homely, friendly, 6-bed hostel located in the heart of sensational S

Within the hostel we have fully equipped kitchen available, a large dining room in which a desktop computer with internet is free to use, as well as a comfy common room. In the centre of the hostel is a small outdoor area for smoking, storing surfboards or reading the paper in the morning on the table and chairs. These are all located on the ground floor.

Upstairs are the two rooms, one is currently a four bed dorm, the other is a twin room and the bathroom with hot water for showers available 24 hours.  All the beds have their own secure locker and each room has a sink in it. Regarding the secure locker a deposit of £5 will be needed for the key.

Check out time is 11am and check in is 2pm, but you are more than welcome to leave your luggage with us for the day of your arrival and departure. Please contact us with your arrival time before you arrive, preferably by email, so we can prioritise beds and get people checked in when they arrive. All beds need to be paid for in advance.

We’re located in the heart of St Ives on Fore Street, in between Trelyon Gallery and the Russian Shop, 30 seconds from the Harbour.

The hostel is located 10 minutes walk from the bus and train station.

If you’re getting the TRAIN to St Ives, you’ll need to hop on the trainl to Penzance train and get off at St Erth, the stop before last. Then from St Erth you need to get on the train to St Ives, a nice journey along the coast, we recommend you sit on the right of the train to get a good view!  Arriving into St Ives train station you need to follow the road up to the BUS station, continue on and you’ll reach a main road heading down. Follow this road all the way around passing such buildings as HSBC, Tregenna Pasty and William Hill. Arriving at the Church, turn left and head straight towards the cobbled road, named Fore Street. Walk up this road passing The Union pub and Peppers the restaurant.  When coming to the street Court Cocking, Damelza is just 10 metres away, opposite St Ives Camera shop where we will be looking forward to seeing you!

Buses can be caught to St Ives by National Express and other local services.

Travelling by CAR in and around St Ives can be difficult and is expensive, but if you driving there are several car parks located nearby.

By PLANE the nearest airport is Newquay where you can get the train to Par then to Penzance getting off at St Erth and getting the train to St Ives. Getting to the hostel from there is explained above.
