Picturesque 18th Century thatched cottage cottage in small attractive conservation village
Whitewalls Cottage was probably built about 1750 and is Grade II listed, retaining its original character but with modern kitchen and bathroom fittings.
The entrance to the cottage is through a stable door from a tiny private courtyard with a small seat into the ash fitted galley kitchen which is fully-equipped with electric cooker and ceramic hob, fridge, washing machine / tumble dryer, microwave oven.
The cosy living room with its comfortable furniture has exposed beams, and an open fire in a stone and slate fireplace. There is a TV with integrated DVD, hi-fi with radio and CD player. A selection of books, plus maps and information leaflets on the area are provided.
Steep, ladder style stairs with a handrail lead up to the open plan bedroom, with its wood boarded sloping ceilings and wooden floor with rugs, which contains a double-bed.
The shower room / WC is downstairs.
All ground floors are quarry tiled with rugs. Heating is by night storage heaters and the open fire; Electricity is included in the rental price. Fuel for the fire is available locally. Bed linen is supplied but towels are not.

The cottage is suitable for 2 adults but the steep stairs should be carefully considered by anyone with impaired mobility; it is neither suitable nor equipped for babies or children.

The historic Miners Arms pub is just 2 minutes walk away from the cottage and is well-known for its good food, as is the Rose-in-Vale Hotel – 5 minutes walk
St Agnes is a delightful large village with sufficient shops for all day to day needs plus restaurants, cafes and pubs.
Excellent beaches locally at Chapel Porth, Trevaunance Cove and Perranporth
Outdoor activities available in the immediate area include surfing, horse riding and golf
County town of Truro with its Cathedral, theatre and restaurants is 7 miles
The Lost Gardens of Heligan, the Eden Project, Tate St Ives, Maritime Museum at Falmouth and National Trust properties are readily accessible by road. A30 is 5-10 minutes drive.

Proceed through Cornwall westwards on the A30 to the large roundabout called Chiverton Cross, a short distance after the second wind farm. There is a Total service station at the roundabout which you will be able to see. Take the third exit (B3277) off the roundabout, follow signs to St. Agnes, then take the second turning on the right to Mithian. There are signs for the Miners Arms and the Rose in Vale Hotel which are in the village. On entering Mithian pass the Miners Arms pub on the right at a junction and you will see a row of thatched cottages immediately on the left
