The Cornish Fauve Gallery and B&B is the new location for Tim Newman’s studio gallery, formerly at Lynfield ,Perranuthnoe. Not your usual exhibition space, Tim’s home has become an artist den from which he can express his fauvism uninhibitedly. Tim’s work is marked by strong colour and gesture - whether manifested as Cornish or Mediterranean land/sea-scapes - or in the male figures that have become his trademark in recent years - you never know you might find yourself incorporated as part of a painting, and Tim will sometimes exchange bodywork or accommodation for modelling
Tim has over 25 years practise as a complementary therapist and has been exhibiting professionally as an artist since 1990 ,( , Birmingham, London, Reading, Salisbury , Falmouth and now Penzance).
Since 1995 Tim has been doing retreats and workshops from his various homes in and around Penzance. In addition to courses in meditation and bodywork, Tim began tutoring individuals in painting and drawing, running small residential classes since 2006.
The house is set in the centre of town just a couple of hundred yards up from the sea front and promenade ,and right next to Penlee House and Gardens .
