We want to share our passion for the rural lifestyle with our guests and now offer day and residential smallholding courses where we can impart our years of experience and knowledge - so come and join us in living the ‘good life’ on a working Cornish smallholding!


The perfect location from which to explore Cornwall, the Farm is a few miles from the idyllic fishing village of Polperro and the popular seaside town of Looe. The south coast of Cornwall boasts picturesque fishing ports and miles of unspoiled beaches, as well as great walking and sightseeing opportunities along the South West Coastal Path, whilst inland the wilds of Bodmin moor offer a fantastic chance to explore Cornwall’s rich mining heritage. The area also boasts some of the best restaurants and undiscovered pubs in the entire South West, serving mouth watering local produce along with a great selection of local ales. And at the end of a long day exploring the region, why not come back to the Farm and relax in our luxury sauna and Jacuzzi facilities, or just sit and watch the comings and goings of the abundant wildlife that frequents the fields and hedgerows.

The Farm is a hive of activity and is home to numerous exotic creatures including rheas, alpacas and wallabies, as well as more traditional farm animals and three magnificent Shire horses. The animals are all extremely friendly, and the owner, Senara, is always delighted to show guests around the farm, let you meet the animals, and experience the ‘good life’ of a working Cornish smallholding!

Choose from our five charming holiday cottages sleeping 2 - 4 people. Each cottage is beautifully furnished with all the modern comforts you would expect from 4 star accommodation. Well tended gardens and patios with fabulous views are just waiting to be enjoyed.

Located on the outskirts of the village of Pelynt, Hendra Farm is a convenient base for any self-catering break; within easy reach of some of the region’s leading resorts and attractions including the Eden Project, historic houses such as Lanhydrock, Pencarrow and Cotehele and outstanding gardens such as Heligan.  The area has a busy calendar of events including Looe’s Festival of the Sea and Jazz Festival and there are regular exhibitions, concerts and an annual carnival.
