Downderry is a traditional Cornish village situated in the beautiful rolling hills of the Whitsand Bay Coast on the outskirts of Looe between Saltash and Liskeard. The village has a local shop, pub, restaurant, cafe and a large sand and shingle beach, with far reaching views of St George’s Island, the Rame Head and the Eddystone Lighthouse.

The Monkey Sanctuary is within a short drive and is one of the best family attractions in the area. For the keen golfer the Whitsand Bay Golf Club, Looe Golf Club, and the St Mellion Championship Course are all nearby.

Looe with its beaches, shops and restaurants is within a 15 minute drive and the historic city of Plymouth, with its shopping mall, shops, restaurants, theatre and attractions, is less than 20 miles away.
