Redgate Smithy B&B - Liskeard

Situated just above Golitha Falls on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor. Breakfasts made using local produce and cooked on the range.

Redgate Smithy is a 200 years old converted Smithy, and is now a friendly and welcoming AA Four Star B&B situated just above the beautiful Golitha Falls on the southern edge of Bodmin Moor. Our local village is St.Cleer, near Liskeard, and we are very close to Siblyback Lake, and the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site around Minions. Birds and wildlife abound on and around the moor, and there is excellent walking locally on the moor or the Copper Trail, and on the coast. There are also riding, hacking, and fishing facilities locally. The area abounds with nineteenth century industrial archaeology; including the extensive mining remains up on the moor, the Wheal Victoria Copper Mine down by Golitha Falls, and the remains of the fascinating Liskeard and Caradon Railway. The very pretty Looe Valley Line still runs from Liskeard to Looe.
We have a lovely woodland garden for guests' use, a patio and other seating areas, a large conservatory, and comfortable beamed, well equipped cottage style bedrooms, with their own TV and tea/coffee making facilities. All rooms are en-suite or private bathroom.
We have a full breakfast menu, using local produce and prepared on the range, which is served in the light and airy conservatory overlooking the garden. Watch the birds over breakfast! We can recommend many excellent pubs and restaurants to go to locally for your evening meal.
Children over 12 welcome. Friendly dog welcome. Off-road parking.
