Egloskerry Old Station B&B - Launceston
The Old Station is set in 3 acres of countryside. You can sit out on the platforms having afternoon tea or take a stroll around the grounds. We are offering peace and quiet with a touch of luxury that is reflected in everything we offer.
The two large comfortably appointed guest rooms have modern shower en-suites and the twin room, having a separate bathroom, can be used as a family room. Both rooms have tea and coffee facilities and free-view TVs. If you require hairdryers, ironing facilities, these are available.
The large waiting room is available to our guests and this is where we serve breakfast overlooking the platforms and countryside beyond.
Our breakfast menu consists of
Orange juice, fresh fruit platter and cereals.
A full English breakfast of:
Fried egg, tomato, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, beans, hash browns. Or scrambled, poached or boiled eggs with toast.
If you wish for something lighter then we can accommodate that too.
Toast with a selection of jams, marmalades and tea or coffee.
We try to source locally all our eggs, bacon and sausages.
Launceston is only 4 miles away and we are ideally situated for exploring Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor as well as other locations such as Tintagel, Boscastle, Trebarwith and Crackington Haven. Bude and North Devon are within easy travelling distance for daytrips. There are many local attractions nearby such as the Launceston Steam Railway and the Tamar Otter Sanctury.
If you fancy a game of golf then Launceston Golf Club is only about 2 1.2 miles away and Trethorne Golf Club is about the same distance.
For retail therapy then why not visit Homeleigh Garden Centre at Dutson they have everything from furniture to the delicious Food Hall. You can spend hours there!!

From Exeter on the A30.
From the A30 west bound carriageway take the exit marked Launceston, from the roundabout take 4th exit onto Western Road A388 and follow this road past the Jet Garage on the right, go past the town hall and Launceston Castle which are on your right DO NOT TURN OFF, go down the hill and go forward at the traffic lights, at the mini roundabout take the second left, up the hill to St Stephens church opposite the church turn left signposted to Egloskerry. Continue for about 2 miles into the village after the church on your right, turn left signposted Pipers Pool . The Old Station is about 250 yards on the left it has a white picket fence.
