Treleague - Helston
Treleague, a 17th century country house with 21st century service and facilities. Pillow-top mattresses by Sealy, breakfast with a Cornish twist, inspirational sea views and a welcome all our own. Three ensuite rooms and a two bedroom cottage
Treleague overlooks Porthallow Valley, across Falmouth Bay and to Nare Head beyond. The cosy 17th century barn and cottage is home to Mark and Carrie who will give you a warm welcome and an excellent breakfast. Mark recently came from the hotels division of Disney so you’ll get good service but no Disney theming. Recharge in the spacious, well-appointed ensuite rooms. Beds are divine with Sealy pillow top mattresses and Egyptian cotton linen, guest can enjoy Freeview on flat screen TVs and also DVD players, there also free wireless broadband access if you take your laptop, but best of all we liked the little thermos of fresh, cold milk with our tea tray!
Guests are welcome to curl up in the cosy music room with its Chesterfield sofas, log fire, sea view and drum kit! Breakfasts are served in the spacious ex-hayloft; coffee is freshly ground, ingredients are sourced locally and the view from your table down the valley to the sea is wonderful. Mark does the cooking while Carrie does front of house and Mark’s scrambled eggs with salmon are well worth trying (the secret weapon apparently is a dollop of Roskilly’s cream!).
