The Helford River renowned for its sailing is close by and there are many good beaches all around. Durgan is approximately 2 miles away on the Helford River and well worth a visit, as are the beautiful gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah nearby. There is an 18 hole golf coourse in Falmouth and a 9 hole golf course at the Budock Vean Hotel (approx. 2 miles), as well as Spa facilities, an indoor swimming pool and restaurant open to non-residents.
