The cottages are converted from 18th century barns and a lot of the
original features and character have been kept. They both have a bedroom
and a roll-in shower downstairs with two further bedrooms upstairs and most
are ensuite. Each cottage sleeps up to six. They are spacious and very
wheelchair friendly with fully equipped open plan kitchen and lounge areas.
They are set in their own grounds and have a private entrance with plenty
of parking space and a patio area with barbecue facilities. The cottages
are open all year with under-floor central heating throughout, with short
weekend and midweek breaks available out of season.
Both cottages are graded by quality in tourism and are both 4 star with an
M3 mobility rating.
Todsworthy Farm Cottages is on a market garden and a working family farm,
ideally situated in the beautiful Tamar Valley in an area of outstanding
natural beauty. Dartmoor National Park is close by and it is in the perfect
position for touring both Cornwall and Devon. There are National Trust
properties nearby and it's only a short walk from the scenic branch line
that goes to the maritime city of Plymouth. There are a donkey park, horse
riding, the famous Jack Nicklaus golf course, fishing and theme parks all
close by and fairly central for either the North or South coast. There are
plenty of restaurants and pubs near by all using local produce, cooked to a
high standard.
