As well as the beach, which is sandy with rock pools except at high tide, and interesting for children and adults alike, a minute’s walk from the accommodation are also 2 beach cafes, the pub and the local bus route.
Lovely and varied walks from the doorstep through rolling hills, woodland, by rivers and streams, and on the SW coastpath where the highest and most dramatic cliffs in Cornwall yield awesome views and really refresh and renew the spirit !
Exceptional for its geological formations, the area is also brilliant for wild flowers and wildlife.

The accommodation is about 50 miles west of Exeter. Take the A30 (Okehampton etc.) from Exeter to Kennards House (signposted North Cornwall and after Launceston) onto the A395 to Hallworthy (about 7 miles) where you turn right onto the B3252 to Otterham Station, turning right here onto the A39. After about 1/2 mile turn left following signs to Crackington Haven for about 5 miles through Marshgate and Tresparret Posts. As you near the sea the road is very steep and, coming out of an S bend, Crackington Manor is the last house on the right (opposite the large white sign for ‘Trevigue’) before the road bends round by the sea to go up the other side of the valley.
