Just south of St Austell, London Apprentice is basically a few houses clustered around a crossroads on the way to the coast. However, the Pentewan Trail starts here and is a pleasant and unchallenging walk all the way through King’s Wood, following the route of an old railway, to Pentewan Sands.
The Kingswood Restaurant here is renowned for quality meals using Cornish meat and fish.
